A shared need for exceptional tableware in their hospitality projects inspired creative director Stéphanie Cohen, restaurateur Julien Cohen, and designer Raphaël Navot to create Uncharted. The debut collection of the design collective, created in collaboration with Serax, Out of Lines, is now available.
Inspired by organic ovals in nature, such as an olive, a lemon or a plum, the collection has over 30 different shapes that blend seamlessly. Each plate, bowl or cup celebrates the beauty of imperfection. While the shapes may appear intuitively crafted, they are anything but effortless.
The collection’s artisanal look and feel are accentuated by the stoneware materials they chose, whereas the high firing temperatures increase the tableware’s durability, even when stacked. The underlying idea behind this diverse collection is an intuitive approach to table setting, combining functionality, tactility and organic beauty.
To complement the stoneware tableware, Uncharted created a selection of glassware and table accessories in contrasting materials, including wooden presentation boards, serving dishes, and matte-polished aluminum candle holders.
“Out of Lines embodies an intuitive approach to table setting, seamlessly blending functionality with organic refined simplicity.”
