We proudly present Sergio Herman’s third tableware collection for Serax: Silhouette. This line of white porcelain is defined by soft contours, inspired by clouds, flower petals, and nature’s subtle imperfections. The collection also includes refined glassware with subtle curves that mirror the porcelain’s natural elegance. Together, the pieces offer a calm, contemporary look, designed to be used and enjoyed every day.

With Silhouette, Sergio returns to his roots, both personally and professionally. He drew inspiration from the lively atmosphere of traditional brasseries, where people connect over good food. The soft-toned porcelain is a nod to his early days at Oud Sluis, where everything began. By stripping away colour, he has created a neutral, timeless foundation that allows users to bring their creativity to the table.
The porcelain is complemented by a line of glassware that is also inspired by nature. The glasses are a subtle reference to the calyx of a flower, with shorter stems for the wine glasses, adding a contemporary, accessible feel while ensuring maximum ease of use. The vertical lines of the highball and the espresso glass, meanwhile, are reminiscent of the ripples in water, conferring a sense of subtle elegance.
More than anything, this collection reflects a cultural shift we have all felt for some time now: a move toward simplicity, authenticity and connection. Silhouette is Sergio’s way of capturing these feelings. Besides offering ease of use, this collection gives the user all the tools he or she needs to create moments. The idea behind this collection is to bring people together and honour Sergio’s greatest love of all time: food.
