Claudia Schoemig

Claudia Schoemig is a visual artist and ceramicist. In 2010 she founded Schoemig Porzellan – a brand defined by clear design, subtle poetry, and a deep respect for the materiality of porcelain. Her creations are restrained and precise, yet carry a refined sensuality. Together with her team, she translates this aesthetic into pieces of exceptional quality.
Schoemig believes in a sensitive, living minimalism – clear, tactile, and with room to breathe. Her work evokes calm and elegance: objects that do not dominate a space, but enrich it with atmosphere. Harmonious proportions and craftsmanship of the highest standard form the essence of her design language.
After completing her ceramic training, Schoemig worked in a traditional studio and ran her own workshop in southern Germany for four years. In 1998 she moved to Berlin, where she studied Fine Arts and collaborated with leading ceramic and porcelain studios.
Since 2013, her studio has been based in Berlin, with an adjoining store that makes her artistic world tangible.
For Serax she has designed the GRAPH collection, vases that reflect her love of line drawing and graphic clarity.
