COSEINCORSO is a multidisciplinary design studio founded by Marzia Cerio and Marwann Frikach. Their practice is mainly focused on challenging the boundaries between art and design. The two designers combine a contemporary and minimalist aesthetic with traditional craftsmanship, with the aim of infusing the production process with poetry again, like in traditional arts and crafts. All COSEINCORSO objects are made in collaboration with artisans who use locally sourced materials only. COSEINCORSO strives to convey an aspect of history, archaeology or geography in each of its collections, transposing the magic of specific cultures and customs into a series of poetic designs.
For Serax, they created Candelabra, a collection of five steel candleholders inspired by the mystique of Belgian beguinages. Like fragments of a plate, the candleholders form a perfect circle when brought together. They also designed Pillar, a table lamp inspired by the ruins of a column from classical antiquity.
