Filip Arickx

Filip Arickx is a Belgian fashion designer who co-founded the label A.F. Vandevorst with An Vandevorst in 1997. The brand quickly became iconic for its distinctive style, blending elements of military uniforms, nurses’ outfits, and fetish wear. Its highly recognizable stitched cross logo was inspired by the Red Cross emblem. After 23 years, the duo ended the label in 2020 with a farewell party in Paris, as the fashion world increasingly shifted from creativity to marketing.

Drawn to the dramatic yet delicate craft of glassblowing, Filip found a new creative outlet. For him, fashion is more than clothing, it’s a lifestyle that embraces multiple forms of expression. Since 2025, he has also been designing for Serax, debuting with the OAK Lighting collection: wall lamps inspired by tree bark, created in contrasting colors.
