Frédérick Gautier

After more than twenty years as an artistic director in the cultural sector, French designer Frédérick Gautier shifted his focus to ceramics and concrete, studying at the École du Paysage in Versailles. Fascinated by Brutalism, he developed a clay that resembles concrete after firing, laying the foundation for his distinctive FCK signature.

Gautier describes himself less as a designer and more as an artist working in concrete. Simplicity and functionality guide his work, yet every object carries a carefully developed story, technique, and intention. He invites users to interact creatively with his pieces, whether to delineate spaces, serve tea, or simply rest their feet.

Following the success of his FCK tableware, Gautier expanded his vision into a broader universe that includes a cookware collection, interior accessories, and lighting. Across all categories, his brutalist yet refined approach challenges expectations and leaves a lasting impression.
