José Lévy

José Lévy is a Parisian artist and a traveller who navigates with talent and whimsical poetry between fashion, decorative arts, design and museum installations. His field of operation is diverse. Faithful to the human spirit and the person as a starting point, this remains the driving force behind all his projects. Designer of unique and intimate objects, José Lévy weaves links between his creations and their recipients. He infuses his work with a singular sense of rigour and imagination, re-creating his own or borrowed memories. Winner of the Villa Kujoyama, Grand Prix of the City of Paris and Knight of Arts and Letters, he designs for an audience keen on both stories of the past and new horizons. His collaboration with Serax led to two distinctive collections. With Glass Towers, José Lévy brings together the vertical elegance of Tokyo's skyscrapers and the delicate vibrancy of flowers. Fontainebleau, by contrast, is an intimate ode to outdoor living, inspired by his own countryside retreat near Paris.
