Collection
The British-German designer Paul Stefan Gross takes center stage with a striking collection of lamps. Nomad is an ode to simplicity and frugality. Consisting of a minimal frame and linen shades, the lamps not only reference humanity’s origins as a nomadic species but also evoke the movement of light within the living room. Gross’s intention is for the lightweight lamp to be moved around the space as often as desired. According to him, a lamp should not be a static object but a restless traveler. This poetic collection includes three floor lamps and one wall lamp.
Designer
Paul Stefan Gross is a British designer with roots in Germany and France. He studied both sculpture and furniture design in London, a combination that has had a lasting impact on his career. Gross is known for his monochrome designs, deliberately avoiding frivolous colors and reducing design to its most essential, minimalist form. In 2013, he co-founded Homestories in Brooklyn, New York, a studio focused on humble, earthy, and tactile design. As a designer, Gross is a staunch advocate for the analog world. With over thirty years of experience in furniture and interior design for various companies, he is now stepping into the spotlight under his own name.
With Serax, he has created a striking lighting collection. The Nomad lamps are an ode to simplicity and frugality, with their minimal frame and linen lamp shades. They evoke the gentle movement of light within a room.
