Collection
The Sculptural Confluence | Part 1 collection by Bob Verhelst combines furniture with artistic creations, including three distinctive mood lamps in various designs. Verhelst’s creative process begins with pencil sketches on paper, followed by full-scale cardboard prototypes, a method evident in the sculptural ceramic bases of the lamps.
The lamps stand out not only for their striking shapes but also for the carefully selected glazes, which range from crackled finishes to deep, vibrant hues. Adding to their uniqueness, the lampshades are crafted from natural materials like cord and linen.
Designer
Bob Verhelst is a multifaceted designer with a remarkable portfolio spanning theater costumes, museum scenography, and collaborations with esteemed brands like Hermès, Cartier, and Viktor & Rolf. As a former guest lecturer at the Fashion Academy in The Hague and art director at Graanmarkt 13, Verhelst balances his work in visual arts with his passion for design.
Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, Eileen Gray, and Vincenzo De Cotiis, his creations embody a harmonious blend of geometric forms, vibrant tones, and earthy hues. Crafted in wood and ceramics, his designs transcend fleeting trends, finding their place in timeless interiors.
