Brussels-based designer Sylvain Willenz has been a stalwart of the Belgian design scene for over 20 years. He owes his iconic status to his playful design language, which has a lot in common with Scandinavian design. Willenz prefers hushed tones and neutrals, rounded shapes, and a fun twist. Tronco is possibly his quirkiest work to date, with a table lamp shaped like a tree trunk with a luminous canopy. The shape dictated the material for Trunk, which is made from natural earthenware and linen.
