COSEINCORSO is een multidisciplinaire designstudio opgericht door Marzia Cerio en Marwann Frikach. Het duo vertaalt de poëzie van archeologie en geschiedenis naar kunstzinnige, hedendaagse designobjecten. Voor hun nieuwe Serax collectie genaamd Candelabra lieten zij zich inspireren door de mystiek van de Belgische Begijnhoven die vanaf de dertiende eeuw zijn ontstaan. De vijf stalen kandelaars lijken op de scherven van een bord. Eens samengebracht, vormen zij een perfecte cirkel.
Designer
COSEINCORSO is a multidisciplinary design studio founded by Marzia Cerio and Marwann Frikach. Their practice is mainly focused on challenging the boundaries between art and design. The two designers combine a contemporary and minimalist aesthetic with traditional craftsmanship, with the aim of infusing the production process with poetry again, like in traditional arts and crafts. All COSEINCORSO objects are made in collaboration with artisans who use locally sourced materials only. COSEINCORSO strives to convey an aspect of history, archaeology or geography in each of its collections, transposing the magic of specific cultures and customs into a series of poetic designs.
